CEC has completed its acquisition of multi-discipline civil engineering and land survey firm SITEC Inc. The acquisition of the Dartmouth, Massachusetts-based firm was is part of CEC's ongoing strategy to grow and diversify the capabilities of its existing operations.
CEC's Boston-area operations will now include the firm’s existing office in Raynham, Massachusetts, and SITEC’s existing offices in Dartmouth and Fall River, Massachusetts. The acquisition allows CEC to better support its clients in southern Massachusetts and throughout New England.
SITEC has provided design and engineering for the development of residential and commercial subdivisions, shopping centers, marinas, and office and industrial buildings. The firm’s solar energy experience includes more than 20 large-scale projects for local and national solar power companies.
SITEC co-founder and President Steven Gioiosa joins CEC as a vice president in the Civil Engineering practice.
With the acquisition, CEC's Boston-area operations now have the capabilities to provide regional survey/geospatial services, already a core practice within the firm corporate-wide. Services include property boundary surveys, topographic and existing conditions surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, wetlands boundary surveys, marine and inland waterways bottom surveys for waterfront projects, construction layout surveys, and as-built surveys. Sean Leach, PLS, who has been with SITEC for 23 years, will lead the survey efforts for CEC’s Boston-area operations.
