Business software provider Cordance has acquired Columbus-based WebPresented, a software company specializing in interactive video technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition will allow Raleigh, N.C.-based Cordance to integrate WebPresented's interactive video and virtual event capabilities into its suite of business software products. Cordance provides tools for sales, marketing and customer service teams.
"With the addition of WebPresented's innovative video technology, we'll be able to offer our customers new ways to engage prospects and customers," Cordance Chief Executive Jane Smith said in a statement.
WebPresented's interactive video software allows presenters to insert questions, polls and other interactive elements into pre-recorded videos. Viewers can respond in real-time, providing two-way communication between presenter and audience.
The company's virtual event platform also facilitates live video sessions with audience participation features like chat, Q&A and surveys.
"We're thrilled to join forces with Cordance to make our interactive video and virtual event technologies available to many more customers," WebPresented CEO Michael Brown said.
Cordance said the integration of WebPresented's products will happen over the next few months.
