Evoqua Water Technologies has acquired ATG UV Technology Ltd., a manufacturer of ultraviolet light disinfection systems used in a range of municipal, aquatics and industrial applications. The acquisition expands Evoqua’s reach, allowing the Pittsburgh company to serve more customers globally.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition of ATG UV, which is based in Wigan, England, and has 75 employees, marks the first transaction in 2019 and the 13th acquisition by Evoqua. The acquisition adds to Evoqua’s UV offering and underscores the company’s commitment to the global water treatment market.
“We have developed a successful working relationship with the team as a licensed manufacturer of their technology in North America and look forward to expanding our reach to new geographies consistent with our acquisition strategy,” Evoqua CEO Ron Keating said, in a statement.
UV technology is one of the fastest growing disinfection techniques across the global water market.
