Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Powell, Ohio-based Andrew Insurance Associates Inc. The deal helps Gallagher further build its presence in the Columbus area and brings the company additional strengths in practice areas that it is looking to grow and expand.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1969, Andrew Insurance Associates is a full-service insurance agency serving Midwest clients. It has a commercial niche focus on schools, hotels and grocery stores. Michael J. Clark and his associates will continue to operate from their Powell location under the direction of Cindy LaMantia, head of Gallagher’s Great Lakes region property/casualty brokerage operations, and Tom Belmont Jr., head of Gallagher’s Northeast Atlantic employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.
