The EDGE Innovation Hub, founded by Donatos founder Jim Grote, hosted its grand opening in Gahanna on April 30. Grote hopes the facility will be a center for creativity, where forward-looking companies can innovate at the edge of possibility.
According to the EDGE website, its mission is to build principle-based businesses that lead with love and drive food innovation to the edge of possibility.
Executive Director Craig Turner said that the innovation hub will focus on pizza, according to a report in theĀ Columbus Dispatch.
EDGE also shares a 17,000-square-foot space with BeeHex, a startup that developed a 3-D food printer, and a demo space for Grote Co., a food-processing equipment maker founded by Grote in 1972. BeeHex moved to Columbus in 2017 after an investment by Grote.
