In a transaction between two of Northeast Ohio’s leaders in the lawn and garden sector, Fahey Group has sold its Landmark Lawn and Garden Supply store in Strongsville to Kurtz Bros. Inc. Under the new ownership, the Strongsville store will change its name to Kurtz Bros. Inc.
The transaction does not include the Landmark Lawn and Garden Supply store in Avon. That store will continue to be owned by Fahey Group and will continue to operate under the Landmark name.
Fahey Group has operated Landmark Lawn and Garden Supply since 2018 and acquired the company in 2019. During that time, it has worked to consolidate operations, improve profitability, and strengthen Landmark’s position for long-term sustainable growth. Fahey Group also owns Robin Autopilot, a rapidly growing pioneer in robotic mowers for the U.S. market, along with five other entities.
“Kurtz Bros. Inc. has a strong track record of successful operations in the lawn and garden sector, and that’s exactly what we were looking for in a buyer for the Strongsville store,” Fahey Group Founder Logan Fahey said in a statement. “The transaction will strengthen Fahey Group’s position as an innovator in the lawn and garden market as we continue to focus our investment and resources on the robotics sector.”
Kurtz Bros. Executive Vice President John Ziss Jr. added: “At Kurtz Bros., Inc., our highest priority is to provide outstanding products and services for Ohio’s landscaper and retail markets while protecting environmental interests. We are excited to continue the legacy the Fahey Group has created, by growing Landmark’s location in Strongsville into a premier destination for retail and wholesale landscape needs.”
