Laxington, Mass.-based Mimecast, a provider of human risk management software, has acquired Columbus-based Aware, an AI collaboration security platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Aware’s platform and targeted AI models identify the risks found within the unstructured data of workplace collaboration tools and are designed to prevent the loss of sensitive data, improve compliance and mitigate human risk factors. It's AI-powered capabilities will add to Mimecast’s existing investments in AI models to improve security and compliance for customers’ digital presence, the company said in a statement.
