Preformed Line Products Co., a manufacturer of energy and communications infrastructure, has acquired SubCon Electrical Fittings GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of substation connector systems and electrical accessory hardware. Preformed expects the deal to strengthen its position in the global substation market and expand its European operations.
Preformed's CEO and President, Rob Ruhlman stated, "The acquisition of SubCon greatly enhances our technical expertise in the areas of high voltage AC and DC substation systems and brings with it a talented group of technical professionals with a keen understanding of substation products, technologies and customers.
