Stonewood Capital Management, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based private equity firm, has acquired CMS East, Inc., one of the largest privately-owned cemetery operations in the United States. Headquartered in Jeannette, PA, CMS East owns and operates memorial parks across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the Carolinas, offering a range of cemetery-related products and services.

Pennsylvania-based S&T Bank provided a senior lending facility to support the acquisition, and Stonewood Capital was represented in the transaction by Metz Lewis Brodman Must O’Keefe LLC.
