The Stephens Group LLC finalized its acquisition of Dublin-based Kinetics Noise Control Inc., and in conjunction with the transaction, formed a new company, Catalyst Acoustics Group, which will serve as a platform for a group of acoustic, seismic, vibration and noise control companies.
The terms of the transaction with Kinetics were not disclosed.
Catalyst Acoustics will house The Stephens Group’s growing family of noise control solutions providers, which in addition to Kinetics includes Sound Seal, IAC Acoustics, Noise Barriers and Lamvin.
Founded in 1958, Kinetics designs and manufactures a large selection of products and solutions that control airborne noise, isolate structure-borne vibration, enhance room acoustics, create quiet spaces and restrain non-structural building systems. Kinetics operates manufacturing facilities in Ohio and California and has sales and engineering resources in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and China.
The entire Kinetics team, including President and CEO Kirk Hendricks, will remain on board.
