Ellen Rubin is a technology CEO, founder, board member, and investor with 20+ years of experience building and scaling companies. She has a successful track record leading companies in the B2B enterprise IT space from initial concept and early stages through successful exit, including IPO (Netezza) and acquisition (CloudSwitch, acquired by Verizon, and ClearSky Data, acquired by Amazon Web Services). She has been at the forefront of new technologies in cloud computing, data warehousing, analytics, and AI.
Currently, Ellen is an Operating Partner at Glasswing Ventures, an investor in the next generation of AI and frontier technology startups. Prior to joining Glasswing, Ellen was the CEO and founder of Causely, an early-stage venture building the IT industry’s first causal AI platform to eliminate human troubleshooting and enable faster, more resilient cloud application management.
Ellen is also an independent board member at Allegion (NYSE: ALLE), the global leader in seamless access, securing people and assets with a range of solutions for homes, businesses, schools, and institutions. She was previously an independent board member of Chase Corporation (NYSE American: CCF), a specialty chemicals manufacturer that was acquired by KKR, and Corvus Insurance, a venture-backed insurtech that was acquired by Travelers Insurance.
Ellen is a longstanding member of the Boston startup community, investing in and advising entrepreneurs as they build new companies in the Boston ecosystem.
