Varun Mahajan

Dr. Varun Mahajan is an accomplished medical professional and seasoned entrepreneur, with a proven track record of transforming healthcare businesses into profitable ventures. His most significant achievement to date is the strategic development and subsequent sale of Mahajan Therapeutics, a comprehensive mental health and addiction services agency, to industry leader Baymark Health in 2022.

Over a seven-year tenure as CEO, Dr. Mahajan's strategic acumen and innovative leadership were key in tripling the company's net revenue. He adeptly scaled operations from 50 to 200 employees, while simultaneously expanding the portfolio from a handful to a network of clinics.

Dr. Mahajan's expertise is widely recognized in the healthcare field. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine enlisted his services on the Ohio Minority Health Commission, Ohio Vaccine Task Force, and the Ohio Alzheimer's Prevention Taskforce. Furthermore, he contributes his insights to the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as a board member.

Prior to Mahajan Therapeutics, Dr. Mahajan's medical career saw him specializing in breast-imaging radiology at The Susan Komen Center. A distinguished graduate from the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, he authored numerous scientific papers and completed his rotations at the renowned Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Mahajan maintains his clinical skills, practicing radiology once a week in Columbus, where he resides with his wife and three sons
