Steve VanNurden

Steve VanNurden is the Associate Vice-Chancellor for Biotechnology at the University of Colorado | Anschutz Medical Campus and also serves as the President and CEO of the Fitzsimons Innovation Community in Aurora CO. Steve Started CU Innovations 8 years ago to develop a strategic vision to foster discovery and innovation and build a strong innovation ecosystem that links medical research, patient care and entrepreneurship on a single campus. The Fitzsimons Innovation Community currently supports over 80 companies located across the street from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. In 2019, Steve became one of the founding members of the CU Healthcare Innovation Venture Fund to invest in promising early stage companies. Prior to moving to Colorado, Steve was at the Mayo Clinic for 22 years and was the Chair of Mayo Clinic Ventures.
