Matthew Flemming

Matthew Flemming has more than 20 years of experience as a CEO, Chairman and CFO of public and private companies. Since September 2017, Matt currently serves as Chairman of the Board of SMG Industries, Inc. a publicly-traded transportation services business. He also serves as Chief Business Development officer of SMGI. As founder, Mr. Flemming previously served as CEO SMGI from September 2017 until December 2020. In July 2023, SMGI acquired 100% of Barnhart Transportation (Pennsylvania) which doubled its size of the business to $153 million in annual revenues.

Previously, Mr. Flemming has served as CEO of a publicly-traded distributed energy C&I renewables company, and CEO an oilfield services company. Matt has also served as CEO of a privately held internet company and a specialty products pharma company. Mr. Flemming has built significant experience in the capital markets, Board governance and M&A transactions throughout his career.
