Kevin West

Kevin West is a founding member and managing partner of Independence Fire Sprinkler Company, headquartered in the greater Philadelphia region. Together with his partner, they have a combined 70+ years’ experience in the fire protection/fire suppression industry. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day management of the company and its 95 employees, Kevin’s primary responsibilities include directing business efforts for the  firm that specializes in the, installation, service, and maintenance of contractual fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and health care clients. He leads the fire sprinkler and alarm service repairs and maintenance.

Kevin is a graduate of Baltimore’s Culinary Arts Institute with a degree in culinary arts (1988), and in 1994 he entered local 692 fire sprinkler fitters apprentice program. He worked as a sprinkler fitter for several years before starting in sales, and eventually starting Independence Fire Sprinkler Company with his business partner in 2009. He is certified with the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Inspection Testing and Maintenance of Water Based Systems, and is an active member of both the National Fire Protection Association and the National Fire Sprinkler Association.
