Jim Tates

Jim Tates is President and Chief Executive Officer of United Gilsonite Laboratories (UGL). Founded in 1932 as a family business, UGL has over 90 years of experience as a specialty paint and coatings manufacturer providing quality products for the Pro and Do-It-Yourself markets. He joined UGL in 2016. Previously, he held transformational leadership roles with a variety of consumer driven businesses ranging from private equity backed start-ups to industry leading global CPG companies.
